New Merchandise featuring Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway made its highly anticipated debut on March 4, 2020 at Hollywood Studios. When it first opened the attraction came with its own line of creative merchandise to commemorate our inaugural trip to Runnamuck Park. Now, with the parks celebrating their reopening we’ve spotted some fun new merchandise for this ride.
A Brief Summary of the Attraction
The new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is the first to feature the Sensational Six. It begins with guests entering to see a new film about Minnie and Mickey ready for a picnic at Runnamuck Park. In the film, Goofy decides to offer train tours of the same location. While packing the picnic there is an accident that ends up with the screen exploding. Guests are invited to board a train with Goofy driving. Then in his classic cartoon way Goofy pushes a lever and the passengers cars get loose. The guests then head out on an adventure where anything can and does happen.
This trackless dark ride is designed to depict the newest animation style of Mickey shorts and uses classic elements and lots of brand new technology to immerse guests in this experience. Keep your eyes open for throw backs to old friends and lots of Easter eggs hidden along the way, but you may also spot some new friends along the way.
Runaway Railway Onesie
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a family friendly attraction and even the littlest Mousketeers are able to ride. This yellow onesie declares the little one as the “World’s Cutest Conductor”. The child’s top also depicts conductor Goofy aboard his red and blue train. You can see the smokestack that explodes during the preshow.
The back of the onesie features the logo of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in red. The onesie is $19.99.
New iPhone Cases
This attraction pays tribute to a lot of classic Disney characters. However, there are some really fun new friends created just for the ride. One of them is an adorable bird named Chuuby (pronounced Choo-bee) who loves to play in Runnamuck Park.
This iPhone case shows Chuuby doing what he does best, signing and dancing. It is also decorated small balloons, leaves, and musical notes.
A second phone case features Mickey and Minnie in their red car from the attraction ready to head out. Pluto is in the back seat proudly holding the picnic basket. Chuuby flys along side the group driving off for their meal. The title of the theme song to the attraction Nothing Can Stop Us Now is in a gold tone underneath the group.
The phone cases retail for $34.99.
Where to Find the Items
You can find all of these items in the Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway merchandise kiosk located just outside the exit to the ride. You will recognize it by the red canopy outdoors.
