HOPE is Magical
Hope, is in fact magical. I feel that I should preface this post with a disclaimer; it will lack some of the humor and lightheartedness that you are used to from me as a writer and from Disney Fashion Blog but that’s because I am so personally connected to what the latest drop from Two Park Princesses represents. So please, bear with me and maybe grab a tissue (or your sleeve or the dog, whatever is nearby).

The latest release from Two Park Princesses (two sisters known for their magically inspired jewelry) is called “HOPE”. The necklace, available in silver, rose gold and gold features three stones creating a perfect hidden Mickey. Most importantly though, a portion of the proceeds from this necklace will be donated to the Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation, an organization that focuses on the family not the cancer. They treat children facing the imminent loss of parent to what they call WOW! experiences. It’s a timeout from real life to create positive, cherished memories at beautiful destinations with their parents.

HOPE
Unfortunately, everyone in some way, shape or form has been affected by cancer, myself included. As I write this, I am coming up on 20 years since I lost my mom to cancer. She was my best friend and I was 18 when she passed. I am so thankful to have created so many incredible memories with her and my family, many of those being Disney related. My family and I decided we had to fight back against the disease that takes so much and dedicated ourselves to fundraising and finding a cure for cancer because we have HOPE that one day we will live in a world where it doesn’t exist.

Disney holds a special place in my heart, as I know it does for so many of you. It’s the memories, it’s the pixie dust, it’s the magic. When I saw this necklace, I knew I had to have it. Not only because it’s beautiful but because of what it stands for. It honors those we’ve lost to cancer. It helps provide positive memories for families. It stands for HOPE.
