Attraction Inspired Ornaments in the Magic Kingdom
Christmas in July maybe over, but Walt Disney World is still gearing up for the holiday season with the release of attraction inspired ornaments in the Magic Kingdom. Each of the ornaments are shaped in the traditional Mickey head with details from each of the attractions.
Magic Kingdom Attractions Ornaments
The cute family coaster, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, serves as the inspiration of this ornament. Mickey’s head is made of the signature mining hill from the ride. You can see the track and one of the mine cars coming down the center. Dopey Dwarf is holding his pick ax over his shoulder as he happily poses on one of the ears. Each ear is outlined in jewels mined from the mountain.
The clock strikes 13 on this ornament inspired by the famous scene in The Haunted Mansion. The gargoyles stand guard on either side of the clock. The base also features the signature wall paper from the attraction.
Take aim aboard Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin! The ornament inspired by the ride is in the signature bright blue, green, and yellow. Buzz Lighyear pops out of the top of the ornament. The laser that guest use to shoot at the tagets is on one of the ears. The Evil Emperor Zurg is on the other ear.
Cinderella Castle is painted in every color of the rainbow. The “ears” on the ornament are outlined in a bright purple. The classic silhouettes of Mickey and Minnie and they are also painted in a rainbow pattern.
Epcot Tier 2 Attractions Ornaments
Explore the Imagination Institute with Journey into the Imagination with Figment. A 3D figment sits atop the main section of the ornament. The playful dragon also appears on each ear in a different form.
You can almost hear the seagulls crying, “mine, mine, mine” when looking at The Seas with Nemo and Friends attraction ornament. Marlin and Nemo are exploring the reef on one side. Forgetful Dory is is swimming along on the other ear.
Celebrate a successful mission after blasting into space with this ornament for Mission Space. The Mickey head is a globe with a spaceship sailing overhead. The ears feature stars with the attraction’s logo on it.
Epcot Tier 1 Attractions Ornaments
Hop aboard a hang glider on Soarin’ Around the World. Mickey is welcoming everyone aboard as he stands atop the ornament, dressed in his pilot uniform. The ears are set atop a set of flight wings. One ear includes the signature saying, “We are cleared for takeoff.” The other ear has a Epcot symbol on one of his ears.
The ornament that honors Test Track is mainly blue, black, and white. The main ear is sculpted to look like one of the test vehicles. The ears highlight the two main phases of the attraction. The first is the design element where guests are able to design the car they want to test during a pre show. The second is the actual ride portion of the attraction where guests get to test the vehicle’s performance.
The last tier one attraction in Epcot is Frozen Forever After is represented in a blue ornament with lots of sparkle. The symbolic ears are snowflakes with pictures of each of of the Frozen sisters on each ear. Everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf, is a 3D figure atop the center of the ornament. The rides sign is on the front of the ornament.
Hollywood Studios Attractions Ornaments
Walt Disney World’s newest attraction, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is represented in this fun ornaments. The main part is Goofy’s bright red train that he drives around the park. Mickey and Minnie are on each ear of the ornament. They are drawn in the same style of the newest shorts.
