Gelato Inspires a New Line in the Italy Pavilion
One of the best parts about visiting World Showcase in Epcot is getting to try all of the treats from all of the different countries. Sometimes, those treats can inspire fun merchandise lines that let us bring part of the World Showcase home. As an example, earlier this week we shared with you these items inspired by Macarons in the France Pavilion. Now, we have turned our attention to the Italy pavilion, with the release of a fun line inspired by an Italian specialty: Gelato!
The Shirts
A dusty rose tank top declares that La Vita E Bella (Life is beautiful). A scoop of gelato in the shape of Mickey Mouse sits to the side of the words. The tank top can be yours for $29.99.
A woman’s light blue shirt has a cone with a scoop of gelato in the shape of our best pal, Mickey Mouse. The shirt reads “Mi Sciologo te Per” which translates to I melt for you in big blue letters. It also denotes that the shirt is from Italy in Epco’t World Showcase. The shirt retails for $36.99.
A coordinating child’s peblem styled shirt is also available. The shirt has three cones with scoops of gelato in strawberry, chocolate, and mint in hidden Mickey form. The words “I love gelato” are above the ice cream. Below the cones you will find the words “Italy Epcot World Showcase” noting where you purchased the shirt.
The Cup
The collection also features an adorable sipper cup. The striped background gives it a traditional ice cream shop feel. On one side, like the shirt above, there are the words “Mi Sciologo te Per” which translates to I melt for you.
On the other side are the words I love Gelato and several scoops different flavors in a familiar shape. The top is bright pink and simulates the swirls you may see in a bowl of gelato.
The cup is hand wash only and can be purchased for $24.99.
Luggage Tag
Make your bags easy to spot at the airport with these fun luggage tags in the shape of a cone with a scoop of Mickey shaped gelato atop it. The ice cream is la light pink. In a darker shade of pink you will see the words “Mi Sciologo te Per” which means “I melt for you”. There is a dusty rose-colored strap at the top that you can use to attach this cute tag to your bags. These adorable tags are $9.99.
